San Leandro USD District Office

San Leandro Unified School District partnered with JL Modular for the comprehensive design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art district office facility and administrative campus. The centerpiece of the project is a 10,000-square-foot primary building, meticulously engineered to serve as the district’s operational headquarters. This modern structure features a sophisticated interior layout that balances privacy and collaboration, incorporating a suite of executive offices, expansive open-plan workspaces, and high-tech conference rooms. To ensure full operational capacity, the facility also includes dedicated utility rooms, auxiliary storage spaces, and a communal break room designed to foster a positive environment for district staff.

In addition to the primary construction, the project scope included the sustainable modernization of three existing portable structures. These units were expertly repurposed and transformed into two versatile office suites and a formal Board room, providing a dedicated space for district governance and public meetings. A key architectural feature of the site is the integration of advanced PV (photovoltaic) shade structures. These systems perform a dual role by providing essential environmental shading for the facility while supporting the district’s commitment to renewable energy and long-term utility efficiency. This project highlights a successful blend of new modular construction and adaptive reuse, delivering a cohesive and high-performance administrative hub for the San Leandro community.
