Lydiksen Elementary School New Modular Buildings

A California school underwent a significant expansion from a K-6 elementary to a TK-8 institution, featuring the construction of six permanent modular buildings. Each structure was meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of the school, with a focus on quality and functionality. The newly built Administration building, equipped with offices, a staff lounge, and a conference room, serves as the central hub for efficient campus management and support services.

The Campus Center building, housing a library, conference rooms, and restrooms, offers a versatile space for both educational and extracurricular activities. The Kinder Learning cluster and Transitional Kinder building provide specialized studios for the youngest students, complete with commons areas and restrooms, fostering a nurturing learning environment. Additionally, the Elementary Learning clusters, featuring five learning studios, are designed to support the school’s emphasis on STEM education, incorporating modern amenities that enhance both teaching and learning experiences.

Managing construction while the school remained fully operational presented unique challenges. JL Modular’s phased, building-by-building approach over 18 months minimized disruptions to daily activities, ensuring that students and staff could continue their routines without interruption, resulting in facilities that meet current educational demands and support future growth.
