Tice Creek K-8 School – Classroom Building

JL Construction, alongside JL Modular, spearheaded the development of a cutting-edge classroom and multipurpose building for a K-8 school, showcasing their expertise in modern educational facilities. The 7,200-square-foot classroom building, a single-story, permanent modular structure, features six STEM-focused classrooms, each 1,100 square feet in size. These classrooms are designed with extensive daylighting and direct access to outdoor learning areas, fostering a connection between indoor and outdoor education. The architect’s use of JL Modular’s DSA prechecked design ensured a streamlined approval process, leading to faster construction and early project completion.

The 8,600-square-foot modular multipurpose building is a hub of activity, featuring a spacious 5,000-square-foot assembly room, warming kitchen, changing rooms, and restrooms. Overhead doors seamlessly connect the interior to adjacent playgrounds, offering a versatile space for various school functions. The site work, which included converting a field into two outdoor basketball courts, constructing a new concrete amphitheater, and upgrading play structures and lunch areas, enhances the overall school environment. This project not only met the school’s immediate needs but also set the stage for a vibrant and engaging educational experience.
