Mabel Mattos Elementary School is a two building campus which is designed to be expanded to an 800-student elementary school.
The two-story steel frame buildings connected by a metal staircase were designed by AEDIS Architects and total 19,258 square feet.
The first phase features:
• A two-story modular classroom building with eight classrooms
• An adjacent two-story administration building
• All underground utilities for future phases
Spring Lake Elementary School

The new school for the Woodland Joint Unified School District was built by JL Modular in conjunction with HMC Architects and Otto Construction.
JLM was responsible for the construction of the modular buildings including the:
• administration building
• three kindergarten classrooms
• eight classrooms with adjacent collaboration spaces and restrooms
• a student center with library
JLM worked with HMC Architects to design and build the classroom buildings within one of JLM’s standard customizable classroom designs, which is preapproved by the California Division of the State Architect. This preapproval saved months in design and approval time.
The school offers a unique STEAM and project-based learning program that builds 21st-century skills. Design features and unique architectural elements include:
• Collaboration space between classrooms
• Limited built-ins for flexible use of classroom space
• Mobile furniture for adaptable spaces
• Natural lighting from windows
• Outdoor learning areas
• Mixed-use student center
Alhambra High School Building K
Location: Martinez, CA

New 11,530 square foot, 8-classroom, modular building. The new building features a double-loaded corridor, restrooms and associated sitework. Classroom types include: standard, special education, and computer labs. Each classroom is equipped with a Front Row system that is connected to an 80” LED TV. This system allows the teachers to mirror the images on their computers with the TV’s to enhance the learning experience.
Rocketship Education Senter Road Campus

One and two-story modular classroom buildings for charter school campus in San Jose, CA. The two-story classroom building is a structural steel frame on a permanent foundation with 18 classrooms plus a learning lab, elevator and restrooms. The single-story modular building is a wood-frame shear-wall design which houses classrooms plus school administration offices and storage. Both buildings total 24,000 square feet. Project delivery is modular design-build.
Magnolia Place Apartments

20-Unit, three story apartment building. The apartment units were being built in JL Modular’s manufacturing facility and erected on-site.
Richard Crane Elementary School New Modular Kindergarten Building
Location: Rohnert Park, CA

The new, 7,200 square foot, kindergarten classroom building replaces aging portables at the Richard Crane Elementary School, part of the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District.
JL Modular worked closely with WLC Architects of Emeryville, CA, on the design which features partition walls, to give educators a 21st century collaborative learning environment. Green features include state -of-the-art lighting and electrical systems, extensive daylighting and recycled materials used throughout the building.
ACE Empower Academy Multipurpose Building

San Benito High School Visual and Performing Arts Building
Location: Hollister, CA

Design-build delivery of a new, modular, two-story visual and performing arts building featuring six standard classrooms, three studio art rooms, dance studio, ceramics studio with outside kilns, and associated restrooms and offices. JL Modular worked with the district and AEDIS Architects to design and build the new modular classroom building.
Pilarcitos High School Continuing Education Campus

Three building campus totaling 7,000 square feet. Features include a four-classroom building, admin building with teacher’s lounge, and multipurpose/gathering building with divider wall and warming kitchen. Buildings feature extensive green elements including clerestories and Solatubes for natural lighting.
Healdsburg High School Modular STEM Building

Design-build delivery of a new 11,000 square foot STEM building including, Science, Biology, Chemistry and Construction Technology Classrooms. Included restrooms, science prep rooms, chemical storage, double loaded corridor, large covered outdoor work area and covered entry. Plaster and Hardie exterior finish with storefront windows, sunshades and built up roof.
