New Modular Kindergarten Building Replaces Portable Classrooms
As part of the reopening of Richard Crane Elementary School JL Modular completed a new, state-of-the-art modular Kindergarten Classroom Building with a play area and outdoor kitchen on time and within budget. The school uses a year-round calendar so there was an urgent deadline for the first day of school on July 26, 2017.
JL Modular worked closely with WLC Architects of Emeryville, CA, on the design which features partition walls, to give educators a 21st century collaborative learning environment. Green features include state -of-the-art lighting and electrical systems, extensive daylighting and recycled materials used throughout the building.
Portable replacement projects are common summertime projects for JL Modular as school districts find that replacing trailer-like portable classrooms with permanent modular construction gives students and faculty a better learning environment.
